Reach the summits in just 20 minutes!
One of the highest cable cars in the world will take you up to the Aiguille du Midi (3,842 metres).
This exceptional site offers a 360° panoramic view of the Mont-Blanc massif, as well as the major Swiss and Italian peaks.

During your visit, your guide will talk about the history of our valley and the construction of the cable car, while locating and describing the many legendary peaks…
You might even be lucky enough to see a team of mountaineers conquering one of these prestigious peaks!

Panorama Montenvers / Mer de Glace - 1913m

Admire one of the greatest glaciers in Europe !

Discover one of the largest glaciers in Europe!

Leaving Chamonix, the famous cogwheel train takes you to the gateway to the Mer de Glace in just 20 minutes.

From the Montenvers terrace, you can enjoy a spectacular view of the Drus, the Aiguille Verte, the Grandes Jorasses and the many other peaks that surround the glacier.

As well as describing these legendary peaks, your guide will tell you about the history of our valley and take you on a journey to the heart of the glacier, with a visit to the ice cave that is carved out every year and its ‘Glaciorium’.

As a witness to global warming and glacial retreat, the Mer de Glace is the ideal place to talk about sustainable development.
